The first session took place on Thursday, June 2 and focused on cascade funding for start-ups and SMEs.
Cluster members were offered training and education activities to foster their cooperation with relevant stakeholders at local and EU level and help the participants to establish themselves at European level.
The training sessions included online learning units on different topics that helped all mobility sector actors to develop their skills and knowledge to successfully establish their position at European level with adapted guidance.
The focus of the training session was cascade funding, which is a mechanism of the European Commission that supports beneficiaries, such as start-ups, scale-ups, SMEs and mid-sized companies adopt or develop digital innovations. This funding method simplifies administrative procedures through a simple application system tailored to SMEs.
The mechanism targets at shorter-term innovation projects and finances R&D and prototyping activities (testing and qualification) and mainly provides access to skills, the development of digital technologies and access to the market.
