» Emil buses in Regensburg drives through the old town with a newly developed electric drive.
The special thing about the green speedster is that the drive was developed by AVL Software and Functions in Regensburg itself.
In collaboration with the East Bavarian Technical University, the company converted one of the five Emil buses to an alternative drive concept and received financial support from the city of Regensburg for this project.
The Regensburg-based company Dyphox has coated surfaces in the electric buses of das Stadtwerk.Regensburg's electric buses, which are touched by hands, with a specially developed » disinfectant against bacteria and viruses.
The special coating also protects passengers and drivers from the current coronavirus. Originally developed for use in clinics, doctors' surgeries and care facilities, Dyphox now wants to use the special paint of the same name in other public areas too.
