Blockchain Innovation Spaces | EU Project Block.IS

Together with eleven European partners, the Cluster Mobility & Logistics launched a 32-month project funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 program. The aim of the project consortium was to establish a cross-sector and cross-border innovation ecosystem on the topic of blockchain. The focus of the project was on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and topic-relevant clusters from the three high-growth sectors: Agri-Food, FinTech & Logistics.

Goals

Through targeted activities and services, the project supported the development of a blockchain ecosystem for joint cross-sector networking. Another aim of the consortium was to increase understanding of the benefits of blockchain technologies in the respective sectors and thereby increase the development of new innovative blockchain-based solutions in the areas of agri-food, FinTech and logistics.
