How the transformation in the Regensburg area can be successfully mastered was discussed at the third meeting of the expert panel of the transform.r project on 23 September 2024. The event focussed on the main topic identified at the last meeting: qualification. After a round of introductions, the participants received two keynote speeches focussing on current developments.
The first keynote speech was given by Dr Philipp Ramin, CEO of i.40 the future skills company, on insights and learnings on the topic of qualification in the transformation of the automotive industry. The important thing here is to tailor further training to the industry, the respective company and the employees. They also need time to internalise what they have learned.
Another keynote speech by Mohamad Kabany, CEO of B-Horizon GmbH, focussed on technological impressions of the last 12 months, current topics in corporate practice in the automotive industry and related sectors. The current challenge is the planning uncertainty and ever-increasing complexity in the semiconductor industry.
The current project status was then presented to the participants in the form of the current target image of the region, the transformation strategy and the project activities to date. Further insights into relevance, perspectives and impetus were gained during a workshop.
What's next for the transform.r project? The findings to date will be aggregated and summarised in a Transformation 2035 roadmap for the Regensburg region. This will help the region's economy, science and politics to orientate themselves in the transformation of the automotive industry.
NOTE
The event was part of the German government's transformation networks. The Regensburg project transform.r supports companies in coping with structural change in the automotive industry.
