Mobile Tuesday of the Clusters Mobility & Logistics

CITYSCANNER® DETECTION TECHNOLOGY AND KI-SUPPORTED EVALUATION

Together with our cluster member, DCX Innovations GmbH, the Mobility & Logistics Cluster hosted a Mobile Tuesday on January 30, 2024!
How can digital technologies for parking data collection already be used in Germany today in full compliance with the law? What are the specific use cases and future potentials of digital AI-supported technologies? Andreas Fleischmann provided the 20 participants with answers to these questions in his 45-minute presentation.

The aim of the webinar was to show decision-makers how they can use digital technology to improve data collection, which was previously mostly carried out using human resources, in terms of costs, quality and time.
Knowing the exact impact of a decision made in the past or predicting the future impact of a planned measure is the key to high-quality municipal decisions.

By using the unique mobile CITYSCANNER® multi-sensor system, mapping of urban parking areas as well as parking data collection and analysis can be considerably simplified and at the same time made more precise.

In contrast to the time-consuming manual recording of the number and identification features of parked vehicles and the subsequent transfer of the results into analyzable digital formats, the solution from DCX Innovations GmbH offers a considerable gain in speed and accuracy. A fully digital, data protection-compliant recording and analysis process ensures that court-proof results are available as quickly as possible, e.g. in the run-up to the introduction of resident parking regulations.

The event was moderated by Uwe Pfeil, Cluster Manager of the Cluster Mobility & Logistics.

NOTE

The event was part of the Digital Innovation Ostbayern (DInO) project, which is one of three European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) in Bavaria. The project focuses on the digital transformation of SMEs and public administrations. As part of DInO, the Mobility & Logistics cluster provides support for the "Innovation Ecosystem & Networking" and "Support to Find Financing and Investment" services.
It was also part of the German government's transformation networks. The Regensburg-based project transform.r supports companies in coping with structural change in the automotive industry.

The event also took place as part of the AI in Energy and Mobility Working Group.
