Horizon Europe is one of the most important funding instruments in EU-wide research and development. In order to offer interested parties a platform for networking and partner search for projects in the fields of AI and robotics, the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFor) invited interested parties to the Representative Office of the Free State of Bavaria in the Czech Republic in Prague on September 14, 2023.
Researchers presented their project ideas for which they are actively seeking partners. The subject areas are briefly summarized below, detailed information on the calls presented can be found linked below. The universities are interested in several calls for funding. The calls open on November 15, 2023, the deadline is March 19, 2024.

The event was co-organized by the three Czech European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) EDIH CIH and EDIH CTU, as well as Digital Innovation Ostbayern (EDIH DInO). The Mobility & Logistics Cluster was on site as a consortium partner of EDIH DInO together with the Deggendorf Institute of Technology.
In Horizon Europe Calls, companies with an affinity for research and innovation can become part of an EU consortium. The prerequisite for this is that their products and services are already at an advanced stage and fit in with the calls.
Outlook: For various Horizon Calls in Cluster 4 and 5, the EU Brokerage Event on KETs [Key Enabling Technologies] in Horizon Europe will take place on October 27, 2023 in Mainz and online. More information and registration options can be found here.
