Bavarian Minister of State for Digital Affairs Judith Gerlach visited the TechBase innovation and start-up center in Regensburg on the occasion of the JOBTECH personnel fair on 9 May. On site, the Minister exchanged ideas with start-ups and learned about the start-up ecosystem. With around 1000 participants, JOBTECH recorded a record number of visitors this year.

With over 40 exhibitors, the recruitment fair in the TechBase offered a cross-section of small and large companies from the region, which not only offered internships or student jobs, but also entry-level positions for graduates. The fair places particular emphasis on an informal atmosphere that makes it easier for students to talk to potential employers, explains Alexander Rupprecht, Managing Director of R-Tech GmbH. "For many students, TechBase is an exciting place to work, but many are not yet familiar with the building. JOBTECH offers a great opportunity to get to know the building and the companies in the network personally, from young start-ups to strong SMEs."

"We are particularly pleased that the number of visitors doubled at the second edition of JOBTECH and that the 48 exhibitors from the Regenburg region were so well received," says Natalie Schwab, Cluster Mobility & Logistics.

With around 1000 visitors, the exhibiting companies also drew a consistently positive balance. Michael Schneider, co-founder of the start-up regelkraft: "JOBTECH gave us new impetus and interesting encounters. We are looking forward to further discussions."

The JOBTECH recruitment fair is primarily aimed at students and graduates of the University and OTH Regensburg. The range of exhibitors is not only of interest to students of technical degree programs. The companies and start-ups are looking for all kinds of people: lawyers, HR specialists, designers, marketing and sales experts.

The main sponsors of this year's JOBTECH were Bertrandt AG, Continental Automotive Technologies GmbH, intive automotive GmbH and Wolf GmbH.
JOBTECH was organized by the Cluster Mobility & Logistics, the Digital Start-up Initiative Upper Palatinate (DGO) and TechBase Regensburg.
