The Mobility & Logistics Cluster was represented by the transform.r project and the AIR - Artificial Intelligence Regensburg - network at the BAI.CON, the Bavarian Artificial Intelligence Conference, in Ingolstadt from October 4 to 5, 2023. The conference not only enabled a valuable exchange on artificial intelligence and mobility, but also impressively demonstrated the great dynamism and variety of research and application projects in Bavaria.
The event offered a large number of high-caliber specialist presentations on topics related to artificial intelligence. Experts from various fields provided insights into current developments and discussed future trends. A special highlight of the event was the live demo by CARISSMA, the research and test center for vehicle safety. Under artificially generated weather conditions, it was shown how an autonomous vehicle is able to avoid a child on the road. This demonstration not only highlighted the progress made in the field of autonomous driving, but also the high level of investment in research projects in this area.
BAI.CON was a successful conference with many new impulses, exciting exchanges and insights into various research and application projects. It shows that Bavaria is already a leading location for research in the field of artificial intelligence, especially in the mobility sector. A great deal continues to be invested in new mobility concepts, greater road safety and intelligent solutions for the future.
