The General Assembly 2025 of the EACN kicked off the new year on 21 January with the election of the Executive Board Members 2025-2026. Uwe Pfeil, Cluster Manager at TechBase Regensburg and Head of the Cluster Mobility & Logistics, was elected as a new Executive Board Member.
Uwe Pfeil has been Cluster Manager at the municipal TechBase Regensburg GmbH since 2009. During this time, he has initiated and organised numerous funding projects, networks and clusters, including the Cluster Mobility & Logistics with over 100 members.
The European Automotive Cluster Network EACN is the leading network of clusters active in the automotive, transport and mobility sectors in Europe. It was initiated by eight clusters in 2017 and has grown to more than 30 clusters from 17 European countries.
EACN represents more than 4,500 companies covering the entire value chain, as well as research and development organisations, public authorities and other institutions. All OEMs and the most important Tier 1 suppliers with plants in Europe are members of at least one of the EACN clusters.
EACN is the point of contact for the European Commission and other European institutions when it comes to issues relating to the automotive industry and in particular SMEs in the value network. EACN also participates in the Automotive Skills Alliance and supports measures that help to train people for new challenges.
EACN is organised like an association, with a General Assembly that meets at least once a year and an Executive Board that ensures the day-to-day work. The Executive Board is supported by a Secretary General.
