On February 12, 2025, the Innovation Forum for the Automotive Industry took place at the Zollhof in Nuremberg, an important event for experts and decision-makers in the industry. Current challenges and solutions for the transformation of the automotive industry were discussed under the guiding theme “From idea to implementation - success strategies for change”. The innovation forum was organized by the Forschungsinstitut Betriebliche Bildung (f-bb) and the transform.by project
A welcome address by Martin Kommer-Hasenest (f-bb) was followed by words of welcome from Dr. Christof Prechtl (vbw) and Martin Züchner (ffw GmbH), who emphasized the importance of innovation and training for the future of the industry. Dr. Kristin Hecker (f-bb) then gave insights into the interactions between transformation and qualification in the automotive industry. Dr. Lutz Welling (Robert Bosch GmbH Ansbach) presented a case study on “Future qualification for store floor employees” as a practical example of operational transformation.
Central aspects of industry development were explored in depth in three parallel themed forums. The topics to choose from were “Innovation driver automotive industry”, “Living transformation” and “Skilled workers of the future”.
A special highlight was the “Poetic Replay” by slam poet Michael Jakob, which summarized the day's topics in a creative way. The event concluded with an outlook by Martin Kommer-Hasenest, before ending with a get-together that provided space for networking and in-depth discussions.
The Innovation Forum made it impressively clear that transformation and qualification must go hand in hand in order to make the automotive industry fit for the future. Many thanks to the organizing team and for allowing us to take part in the event as an exhibitor!
