On May 23, 2023, the Cluster Mobility & Logistics, together with our member, System Logistics GmbH, a spin-off of Krones AG, invited visitors to take a look behind the scenes at Krones AG as part of the "Cluster Mobility & Logistics on Site" event.
The Krones Group, headquartered in Neutraubling, Germany, plans, develops and manufactures machines and complete lines for the fields of process, filling and packaging technology. Krones also offers the right solution for bottle-to-bottle recycling of PET bottles. Numerous products and services from Krones' subsidiaries complement the portfolio.
This includes the subsidiary System Logistics. The company is the Krones Group's intralogistics specialist and draws on the experience and strength of the Krones Group for all its projects. System Logistics uses the Group's own product portfolio and supplements it with external services to provide optimal and individual customer solutions. As part of Krones AG, a particular focus is on the food and beverage industry, but System Logistics solutions are also used in other sectors.
Learning to make optimum use of the technology from the Krones Group and exchanging experiences: this is what the Krones Academy makes possible. The aim is always to raise the performance of the line to a new level together with the customer. The training concepts are worldwide and always precisely tailored to the customer and his general conditions.
The Group has more than 100 subsidiaries and branches worldwide. In addition to breweries, the soft drinks industry and wine, sparkling wine and spirits producers, the company's customers also include the food and luxury food industry and the chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.
After a warm welcome and a brief introduction by the representatives of Krones AG, the Krones Academy and System Logistics GmbH, there followed a guided tour of the warehouse and the switch cabinet construction area.
This was followed by a guided tour of the Krones Academy, which provided a very good insight into how the staff worldwide are trained on the machines, and the wide range of technologies employed.
The on-site event was rounded off by a concluding networking session in a pleasant atmosphere in the new part of the Krones Academy. This gave the 26 participants time to exchange views and make new contacts over snacks and drinks.
